Kylie Joy Hansen is a soprano, performer, and voice teacher whose work spans opera, musical theater, choral performance, and concert repertoire. With training in both the United States and the United Kingdom, Kylie brings a versatile artistic background and a thoughtful, expressive approach to both performance and vocal instruction.

Kylie studied classical vocal performance at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee before continuing her studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, where she completed her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Studies with honors. During her studies she performed in opera productions, opera scenes, and choral ensembles while developing her work as both a soloist and collaborative musician.

Her performance experience includes roles such as Valencienne in The Merry Widow, as well as opera scenes from Le Nozze di Figaro, Candide, and L’enfant et les Sortilèges. She has performed with ensembles including the BBC National Chorus of Wales, WNO Side By Side Chorus, Belmont Chamber Singers, and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama Chorus. Kylie has also participated in masterclasses with internationally recognized artists and appeared in televised performances, including Handel’s Messiah with the BBC.

Kylie was accepted to several competitive graduate vocal programs, including Manhattan School of Music, the Royal Academy of Music in London, the London School of Music, and the University of Southern California, among other leading institutions internationally. She will begin graduate study at Berklee College of Music in Fall 2026, where she will pursue a Master of Fine Arts in Voice Pedagogy with advanced study in both classical voice and musical theater performance.

In addition to her performance career, Kylie is a dedicated voice teacher who works with students of all ages and experience levels. Her students range from elementary school singers and beginners to advanced performers preparing for auditions, competitions, and stage roles. Her teaching emphasizes healthy vocal technique, musical expression, and building confidence in each singer’s individual voice.

Kylie offers both in-person and virtual voice lessons, as well as free consultations for new students interested in beginning vocal study.
